The
Place Where We Were Born
Teaching Addendum
Questions to Address Primary School:
Where were you born?
Does the place still exist?
What do you remember?
Who lived there with you?
Do you miss them from then?
If you could write a letter to the place, what would the letter say?
What
are the messages from the people that you would send back?
Where are the photos?
Make something of this: make it live again, if only in your head and in
your heart.
Secondary School
Take the place where you were born:
Put yourself back there.
How would things look?
How would they feel?
Who would be there with you?
What changes would you make?
What would you keep the same for always?
What did that place tell you about the world you would live in?
How did that place prepare you for the person you would become?
